There are more and more couples under the age of 35 who are participating in the in vitro fertilization program. Jelena Ćirić Nikolić from the website Bebac, says that every sixth couple has a problem with conception, but that there is a solution in a certain number of cases. He points out that the shortcut to success is patience.
In Serbia, about 400,000 couples have a problem with infertility. According to the data of one of the clinics where sterility is treated, the patients are people between 28 and 42 years old. The “fight” usually lasts from 6 to 10 years.
More and more couples, up to the age of 35, are joining the in vitro fertilization program.
Jelena Ćirić Nikolić, from the website Bebac, says that every sixth couple in Serbia has a problem with conception, but that there is a solution in a certain number of cases.
The most important thing, he says, is for couples to come forward if they realize that the baby is not coming and that the pregnancies cannot be sustained.
“That problem is often postponed, thinking that it will solve itself. In fact, realization is something that couples have the hardest time with. When they realize that there is a problem, they turn for help,” said Jelena Ćirić Nikolić, visiting Belgrade. chronicles.
Additional pressure on woman
It would be good, he points out, if there was some psychological support so that couples could overcome the entire period together.
“Couples come to us with the most common dilemma and the problem of how to maintain a marriage in those most difficult moments while that struggle continues. Everyone, both male and female partners, go through certain challenges,” said Jelena Ćirić Nikolić.
A special pressure in that situation is on the woman, who goes through the biggest problems when it comes to conception, but also because of various procedures, points out Jelena Ćirić Nikolić.
The shortcut that would lead to success is patience, and that is something that all couples who go through the process of in vitro fertilization must be prepared for – to inform themselves, to listen to their doctors, to possibly change their lifestyle. There are certain tips and the best doctors can tell what it is and how, but we need to talk about possible failure.
There were even cases, he says, when couples gave up IVF and then conceived a baby. “So there are those cases. They are some magical babies,” says Ćirićeva.
Good news – Documentation reduced to a minimum
When starting the in vitro fertilization procedure, it is necessary to prepare medical documentation, which is now reduced to a minimum.
“It is as extensive as it should be when the parents hand it in. But I have to say that the commissions pass quite quickly, that they are expeditious, we have very good experts working on it, so the procedures are reduced to a minimum,” Jelena said. Ćirić Nikolić.
Our system has recognized that problem and is working to make the process easier for future parents.
“The limit for women has even been raised, we have an unlimited number of attempts. So, as far as that side is concerned, we can say that there is an understanding of the system for future parents,” said Jelena Ćirić Nikolić.
